The term Blanc de Blanc originated in France's Champagne region, where most Champagnes are made from a combination of the white chardonnay grape and the red pinot noir grape. Blanc de Blanc Champagnes are made entirely from Chardonnay, and are light and delicate in flavour. The Pernet family have worked their vineyards in Mesnil sur Oger at the centre of the Champagne region for several generations.
